A trip to Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco is a food lover’s dream come true. We were lucky that the hotel room had a channel geared towards tourists and visitors.
The TV pointed out many of the best Restaurants in the area, which prompted us to get started early and visit them.
For example, we learned that Pier 39 in Fisherman’s Wharf is the 3rd most visited attraction in the United States. It is behind only Disney World and Disney Land.
No visit to Pier 39 is complete without spending some time appreciating the barking sea lions.
The must visit restaurants include the Crab House which is actually on Pier 39 itself. The better restaurant in my opinion is the Franciscan just a short walk away. Incredibly I managed to eat 5 servings of crab in various dishes across three different eateries.
After indulging my appetite, it was time to walk it off. We headed down to the open air concert at the Cannery.
We then spent a considerable amount socializing at the Buena Vista. For us, and anyone who visits, time spent at the Buena Vista is time well spent.
Visiting San Francisco Fisherman’s Wharf in the winter enabled us to experience the clear, crisp air, and enjoy smells and taste of seafood while also watching football.
